IT Systems Administrator

We’re looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team based in Bournemouth.

We’re Loan.co.uk, a unique master broker that is automating the consumer finance industry. Our mission is to disrupt the loan and mortgage process in the UK, introducing a clearer, faster way for people to take control of their borrowing requirements. How do we do that? In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing systems support – critical in sustaining the continuous growth of the business. This includes support for issues with hardware, software and server infrastructure, and reaches across our seven locations around the country.

Job responsibilities

 

  • Maintain and support in-house systems
  • Assess and maintain company security and software
  • Facilitate and support the on-boarding of new members
  • Devise a company IT policy manual and implement its protocols
  • Propose IT solutions for future business projects
  • Provide support for hardware, application software and other related requests
  • Manage the business’s servers, data backups, telephone system, network, switches and routers

Essential skills and experience:

 

  • 4 or more years’ experience in a support / systems admin position
  • Experience in supporting staff and business infrastructure across multiple sites
  • Windows server and Exchange server
  • Desktop operating systems
  • Email forwarders (familiarity with AWS SES a huge plus)
  • SSL Administration (LetsEncrypt and/or the likes of Digicert etc.)
  • PC/Mac set up, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Remote access and VPN
  • Expert level mastery of DNS (A records, CNAMEs, MX, NS delegation, TXT, SPF)
  • Office 365
  • AWS experience a must, Azure experience a bonus/nice to have
  • Linux Administration
