The specialist broker operating in the second mortgage, bridging and commercial lending markets has opened in the Cardiff Bay area, to ensure the provision of local support for intermediary partners in Wales and the West Midlands. Paul McGerrigan, CEO said, “We are delighted to be expanding Loan.co.uk’s local presence with the opening of another branch. This is another important step in establishing Loan.co.uk as the leading provider of specialist finance in the UK.”

“In Gareth James we have the perfect business leader to bring Loan.co.uk’s unrivalled focus on intermediary service and meeting customers’ needs to our Cardiff branch. Our brokers and their clients demand a class leading local service with the full backing of our national brand and infrastructure.”

Gareth James, Regional Sales Director said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the skills and knowledge that I have developed whilst running my own business and working for large corporate firms over many years. We have an excellent team already in place who want to make sure that every mortgage adviser and IFA feels the benefit of our local service and huge appetite to do business. The team and I are focussed solely on our intermediary partners and their customers and all the feedback so far has been incredibly positive.”

No substitute for experience

McGerrigan added, “Having senior business leaders with significant experience running the commercial and operations side of the business is hugely important for us. Our unique operations structure and brand positioning makes us truly different from the rest of the market. There is no substitute to having experienced underwriters, processors and trainers on the ground in local locations. When dealing in property based lending, local knowledge is fundamental and in my experience mortgage advisers and IFA’s like to deal with people who understand and know that region.”

This is an exciting year of growth for Loan.co.uk having recently announced the launch of their Northern Ireland operations branch which will focus on supporting Northern Ireland and Scotland intermediaries. The specialist broker is dedicated to providing its highly valued local support to all of its national intermediary partners and plans to continue the momentum of strategic expansion throughout the rest of 2016, saying it plans to open more branches this year.
